What We All Can Do While Our Country Is At War

Pray for peace.
Peace among nations
Peace in human hearts
Pray for the peacemakers everywhere.
Pray for our military personnel.
Pray for the Iraqi people.
Don’t demonize people with whom you disagree. Don’t demonize President Bush or other government officials
Speak up. Make your opinions known. Nothing is more patriotic.
Respect those who do not share your convictions. Listen carefully.
Press for international cooperation and compassion in rebuilding what war destroys.
Advocate for reordered priorities in the future that employ more national resources for the things that make for peace — food, medical care, shelter, education, economic security, human rights — than war-making.
